ANNUAL GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
At the Annual General Membership Meeting held on November 15th Steven Lynch,Janet Benoit and Joseph Russo were elected to three-year terms . Thank you to all of the excellent candidates. The Treasurer presented the Membership with a recap of final 2007 expenses as well as the 2008 year to date figures; all are within the budgeted amounts. The 2009 budget was also presented. Due to a rise in expenses such as property taxes(12%) and fuel oil(65%) an overall 9% increase will be required in 2009.
INN-PROVEMENTS
In 2008, Capital Improvements included replacing carpet in several units. Renovations of twelve more bathrooms were completed. This was the third year of a planned three year bathroom renovation project. The parking lot was sealed and all 1 Bedroom queen size mattresses were replaced. Projects planned in future years include exterior and interior painting and re-model front entrance. These projects are all funded through the Replacement portion of your Annual fees. Comments and suggestions are welcomed and can be sent to the attention of the Capital Committee at the Inn.
MEMBER TID-BITS
RENTALS As an owner you have the opportunity to rent a unit at the Inn on a space available basis. Midweek rentals are available almost anytime during the winter months with the exception of holiday weeks. The current rates are $60/night + tax for a 1-Bedroom unit (limited availability) and $50/night + tax for a Studio unit.
ROOM REQUESTS When possible a specific unit may be requested for your stay. However, you may not request the same unit consecutive years. If that unit remains available at the time of check in it will be offered. All owners should have an equal opportunity to experience the different units in the building.
REMINDER: CHECK IN TIME ON FRIDAY IS 4:00 P.M. UNTIL 11:00 P.M. CHECKOUT ON FRIDAY BY 10:00 A.M.
INTERVAL WEEKS FOR SALE
The Association has some GREAT DEALS on Studio units. Winter, Spring and Fall weeks are available. Prices as low as $500. Contact the Inn for more information.
AREA INFORMATION
We have eight alpine ski areas and three Nordic ski centers within easy reach of the valley. Also available are indoor and outdoor ice-skating, sleigh rides, ice climbing, snowmobile trails, tubing and snowshoeing. Road construction is complete in the valley for now. The North/South Road has a new roundabout and Main Street has new brick sidewalks and crosswalks, lighting as well as widening of Rt. 16 north of the village. The Scenic Vista has also been completed.
